Artistic Statement
As creators of large ensemble physical theater works we see ourselves as visual
poets using our bodies to create living poetry. We believe the body can speak
a universal language and are impassioned by the total theater experience that
can reach a broad spectrum of peoples.
With the actor at the center of our creative process, we merge other media
to create a modern theater of spectacle and celebration that is rich in metaphor,
one that will grab an audience both emotionally and intellectually and affect
them for a long time afterwards.
Our research centers on the dramatic force and emotion that emanates from
an actor's physicality. Through our art, we seek to reflect on life rather
than imitate it. With our ensemble we continue to explore innovative ways
to express our concerns about modern dilemmas while remaining entertaining
and exciting.
